Sawyer, My Love | Sumner Newborn Photographer
Oh my, this blog post is going to have A LOT of pictures….what can I say, when you are a photographer posting your own newborn portraits it is really hard to narrow down! Also, not to mislead you at all, these pictures are the result of not one, not two, but three separate photo shoots (actually plus one day that he didn’t feel like having pictures done after we set up). I had a lots of time to dream up ideas for my baby boy and collect things to make his session fit our family like a glove. It is important to me with every single newborn session that I photograph that I am somehow able to incorporate personal touches, themes, colors, ideas that will strike a chord and make your heart sing: and boy do these make my heart sing. From the carrots that we grew in our own garden, the colorful eggs from our own darling chickens, to the quilt that Chad’s grandma made by hand; every detail was thought out in advance and came together to make a set of images that mean the world to me. To be honest, I am kind of getting choked up here writing this and looking at these images again. He has already changed so much. I am just so glad I was able to capture these magic moments so that I can remember every little detail. I also have to thank my mentor Joy of Wildflowers Photography who has encouraged me to dig deeper, be inspired, and create images that tell a story. This is the story of my new love, meet Sawyer Fox Brundage…
Oh, my God, Tami, how gorgeous is he? Congratulations on the pretty baby and wonderful work!
